Appointment Cancellations, Non-Attendance, and Late Arrival Policy

In response to the increasing demand for appointments, missed appointments or late cancellations reduce availability for other patients in need of care. Non-attendance is not acceptable.

To help us manage this, we kindly request that you notify us of any cancellations at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within this timeframe help avoid a non-attendance (DNA) fee of $70.00.

How to Cancel or Reschedule:

  • Reply “N” to the SMS reminder received.
  • Call the practice directly to cancel or reschedule.
  • If your appointment was booked online, cancellations or rescheduling can be made through HealthEngine or HotDoc.

Please note:

  • DNA fees are non-claimable and cannot be billed to Medicare.
  • Payment of the DNA fee is required before booking any further appointments.

Late Arrivals

  • Patients arriving 10–15 minutes late may not be seen by the doctor, and a DNA fee will apply.

Reminder Notifications

  • Reminder emails or text messages are courtesy notifications only. Patients are responsible for attending their scheduled appointments, regardless of whether a reminder is received.
  • Failure to receive a reminder will not be accepted as an excuse for missing an appointment.
